Do you accept scans?

You now have the option of sending scans to Arizona AFO, Inc for the fabrication of Arizona AFO products. We have on-site CAD/CAM capabilities.

We do have particular guidelines, however. These are as follows:

• The scan file must be in .STL format only (No .AOP or .OP3 files can be accepted at this time. There are ways to convert other formats of scan files to .STL, so contact your scanner’s manufacturer for more info.
• The largest M/L of the calf or ankle cannot exceed 6”.
• Just as you would for casting, please have the patient’s foot positioned in
• the proper subtalar neutral alignment during the scanning process.
• Take care that the quality of the scan is good to avoid having to rescan.

It will be assumed that the patient is being scanned directly. If, for instance, a cast of the patient’s foot is what was scanned, be sure and note this on the work order.
